Sometimes a break is all you need to refresh yourself and feel better about your life!
Taking a "Mommy Break" break from your daily grind can be one of the most effective ways to rejuvenate, reset, and recharge your Mom battery.

In our fast-paced and ever-changing world; where the demands of work, family, and personal responsibilities pull us in multiple directions alllllll day long; it’s easy to understand what leads us to feel overwhelm, fatigue, and ultimately burn out.
There should be no guilt in feeling like you've had enough.
Now more than ever it's important to focus on how you feel as a Mom and give yourself enough time by scheduling it in, to relieve your stress as you deal with handling all the stresses of having a modern-day family.
It's proven that this constant state of busyness will eventually lead to burnout, decreased productivity, and a general feel of dissatisfaction with your life.
Realizing this, you can understand how stepping back even just for a 5-minute moment to catch your breath and take a little break, can be super beneficial for you and all who live under the same roof as you.
A break doesn’t necessarily have to be a lengthy vacation or an extended time away from your family, so let's try to uncomplicate it and make it happen!
It can take many forms, and they can be quick, such as:
A short walk in the park or around the block
A phone call to a friend
A solo grocery store trip
Cooking dinner with your family on another floor of the house, or in a different room
A long bath at the end of your day
A weekend getaway alone, with your partner, or even with your bestie
Enjoying your favorite hobby
Browsing through the library alone
Engaging in activities that bring you happiness, joy, relaxation and peace will boost your mood, lessen your stress level, and improve your overall mental health (and if you're like some Moms I know - unclench your jaw, and keep you from rolling your eyes!).
It doesn't have to take long at all.
You can
How can you make more time for yourself today?
Maybe just 5 minutes or 15.
Using lists and asking for help to create a little more time for yourself is invaluable for both your mental & physical health.
Moral of this story is that we as Mothers, must recognize the importance of taking the much needed breaks we deserve as an essential way of sustaining our own heath & happiness.
It can be through taking intentional short pauses during your day, as well as longer vacations and getaways allowing you to keep it real, and not loose your cool. Ultimately, life feels more fulfilling when you don't want to put duck tape over your children's mouths to seek some peace and quiet (lol, all joking aside).
You deserve a break Mama, so make a plan for how you are going to get one!
